Solar PV
Utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV
We develop ground-mounted solar PV plants from 2 to 20 MWp across Italy: land scouting, grid connection, permitting and design, through to Ready-to-Build.

Ground-mounted solar PV: energy at industrial scale
Utility-scale solar PV is today the most competitive and scalable source of renewable energy in Italy. It turns suitable agricultural land into clean energy production hubs, with minimal impact on the landscape when properly designed and permitted.

Our development process
Five phases, managed in-house from the first site visit to delivery of the permitted project. Select a phase to explore it.
Scouting and suitability analysis
We identify suitable land through an extensive scouting network across Italy, systematically verifying: the absence of landscape, hydrogeological and nature conservation constraints; compatible agricultural land use; distance from grid connection points; solar irradiation and land morphology.
Landowner agreements
Our dedicated land acquisition team manages the entire negotiation with landowners, from the initial offer to the signing of the preliminary agreement. We operate transparently and with attention to local needs, building lasting relationships with landowners and local communities.
Grid connection (STMG / STME)
We manage connection applications in-house for both the transmission grid (Terna) and the distribution networks (DSOs), from preparing the technical documentation to managing timelines and responses. Grid connection is often the bottleneck in project development: our experience allows us to anticipate critical issues and shorten overall development timelines.
Permitting: AU and PAS
We specialise in managing the two main permitting procedures for large-scale solar PV plants in Italy.
Single Authorisation (AU)
For plants above 1 MWp, through a services conference coordinating all the authorities involved: the Region, the heritage Superintendency, grid operators and local authorities.
Simplified Authorisation Procedure (PAS)
For plants in suitable areas under Legislative Decree 199/2021, with significantly shorter permitting timelines.
Ready-to-Build
The project is delivered at RTB status: permits granted, final grid connection agreements in place and land agreements registered. A complete package, ready for financial close and the start of construction.
